The celebration known as “L’Imnarja” or the “Festival of Light” has a long history that predates the arrival of the Knights Hospitaller in 1530. Originally, the festival featured many solstice fires, which gave it its name. Today, the festivities take place in Buskett Gardens where families and friends gather for picnics, wine, and traditional dishes such as rabbit. In the evenings, there is entertainment provided in the form of singing, guitar playing, and local folk music.
